NEW! Museum Floor Internship!
If you love working hands-on, collaborating with peers from different backgrounds, or are looking to challenge yourself and learn new skills, this is the place for you!
The Museum Floor Internship is a volunteer internship for students ages 15-18 enrolled in high school. Interns will support hands-on learning at the museum, focusing on assisting staff in managing volunteers and providing a seamless hands-on exhibit experience for museum visitors. They will work closely with our Operations Department to understand the management of the museum floor, guest experiences, and museum internal processes. Applying for the internship will give students valuable insight into the job application and interview process within a professional environment.
We are seeking self-motivated individuals with fresh ideas! If you have skills in marketing or video production, or more hands-on skills like crafting or woodworking and you’d like more experience, apply through our form below!
Museum Floor Interns will work primarily on the exhibit floor to facilitate and lead volunteer activities during operating hours. Shifts will be offered on weekends with flexible hours and time commitments; not all days will be required. Before their internship, Floor Interns must attend an orientation/training day and ensure they are able to meet the minimum time commitment of 40 hours for the summer semester. (Training counts toward the 40-hour requirement.)
