Maker Studio Internship!

The Maker Studio Internship is a volunteer internship for students ages 15-19 enrolled in high school. Interns will support hands-on learning at the museum, focusing on technology and maker applications of science. Applying for the internship will give students valuable insight into a job application and interview process within a professional environment.
Maker Studio interns will work primarily in Maker Studio facilitating hands-on maker programming with guests combining STEAM principles (science, technology, engineering, art and math). These programs take place on Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays from 12-4pm. During the school year, additional shifts will be available on weekdays when school is not in session (Winter & Spring Break). Before their internship, Teen Techs must attend an orientation/training day and ensure they are able to meet the minimum time commitment of 40 hours for the Summer semester. (Training counts toward the 40-hour requirement.)
Shifts in Maker Studio typically are on Saturdays from 9:30am-2:30pm or 11:30am-4:30pm and Sundays from 11:30am-4:30pm.
Interns will be expected to take at least one 15 minute break during their 5 hour shift.
Additional weekday shifts may become available throughout the semester.
