All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Any unsupervised child under 16 will be escorted to the Explore Store and remain there until a parent or caretaker is located. The child will not be allowed to leave the Museum until a parent or caretaker is located.
We specialize in early learning and elementary-age students. Our recommended ages are 3-12 year olds. Different exhibits may have age restrictions that are posted on their signs. This is for the safety of both the guests and the exhibit. If you are unsure please ask a staff member for assistance.
No, to enter the Museum, your group must include a child. The museum is designed for children 0 to 12 years of age and their families. Children younger than 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Some events may be an exception to this policy and will be specified within the event information.
If you’re an adult without a child interested in visiting the Museum during regular business hours, you may schedule an appointment with a member of our management team. A valid ID or driver’s license must be presented upon arrival.
The best way to reach us is via email, but please don’t hesitate to call! Due to being a non-profit we only keep a small staff so that we can give as much back to the community as possible. We apologize if that means a delay in us answering any inquiries and we thank you for your patience.
That’s ok! The email might have gone to spam but we are able to see online ticket purchases at our front desk. Please just tell them the last name used when purchasing the ticket and they will find you in our system.
Yes, we have just recently become part of the Pogo Pass program! It will be accepted for regular General Admission only during our regular business hours. Please check the Pogo Pass website for any questions regarding its usage.
General Admission tickets, ticket vouchers, donated passes, and Pogo Passes may be used for Special Events. This excludes Special Paid events that have a higher admission price and include Spooky Science Night & CountDown to Noon.
Special Events include our monthly events and are held during regular business hours and are included in the General Admission price. They are also free for members.
Special Paid Events include things such as Spooky Science Night and Count Down to Noon. They are usually held outside of regular museum hours and have a higher ticket price. They are not free for members but are usually discounted as a member perk.
We do not have a cafe or lunch room in our museum. Food and drink are not allowed in our exhibit halls or Discovery Stage. There are vending machines and a small snack area located in the public library adjacent to our building.
We are located near Frisco City Center which has lots of great options for lunch spots. Follow these links to check out their parks and restaurants!
While we are not affiliated with the other museums located near us we highly recommend visiting them as well! For more information about the NVM, Traintopia, and the Heritage Museum please refer to their websites.
