Teen Tech Internship!

The Teen Tech Internship is a volunteer internship for students ages 15-19 enrolled in high school. Interns will support hands-on learning at the museum, focusing on technology and maker applications of science. Applying for the internship will give students valuable insight into a job application and interview process within a professional environment.
Teen Techs will work primarily in Maker Studio facilitating hands-on maker programming with guests combining STEAM principles (science, technology, engineering, art and math). These programs take place on Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays from 12-4pm. Additional shifts will be available on weekdays when school is not in session (Thanksgiving Week and Winter Break). Before starting, Teen Techs must attend an orientation/training day and must be able to meet the minimum time commitment of 50 hours for the Fall semester. (Training counts toward the 50 hour requirement.)
Shifts in Maker Studio typically run on Saturdays from 9:30am-2:30pm or 11:30am-4:30pm and Sundays from 11:30am-4:30pm.
Interns will be expected to take at least one 15 minute break during their 5 hour shift.
Additional weekday shifts will be available when many schools are out of session on November 21-23 & 25 as well as December 19-23 & 26-30.
